You sure disappointed me when it was confirmed that you were involved with all the twists that have been going on here along the border and I say border because that is precisely why YOU are here. Specifically speaking, Terlingua, Texas, U.S.A.
To protect the Homeland, not the People.
You should be ashamed of the fact that you deliberately lied to me and my family, sincere people, about why you are here and leading us to believe that we, you and I, were here for the same reasons: that we love the Chihuahuan Desert and dwell in it because she teaches and she provides us with happiness; that we can enjoy Freedom with her and other fellow inhabitants.
Nuestra Casa.
Yet, I've come to find out, your reasons are absolutely related to your career. A career that deals with manipulation and corruption in order to obtain information over a given jurisdiction, which has now covered everything between here and there. A career that pays you to encroach upon the civil liberties of a Free People and in doing so, you have jeopardized Freedom. In other words, make others miserable.
You see, the thing I find most irritating about it all, you aside, is that we have steered from the fundamentals that were laid out by our forefathers in that this would be a sovereign nation where power is ultimately in the hands of the People.
Yet, of course, when the People's rights have been infringed, the Constitution becomes obsolete, Freedom ceases to exist, and the People are left powerless.
It's truly disturbing to find that I have "friends" who have aided and abetted in the slow eradication of a Democracy and pushed for, whether knowingly or not, a Fascist State. The least you, a friend, could do is acknowledge these things and apologize for your part in it. Otherwise, you'll find, that true friends will be hard to come by and without them, you'll forever be surrounded with doubt and distrust.
Please don't tell me you were simply doing your job. YOU lied to me and I am a person of the People who you are supposed to protect. How does lying to us protect the People? So it's your call, take a vacation and ponder over these truths, or not and if you can't feel sorry about all of this, do not, I stress, talk or even attempt to talk to me anymore.

What the Deaf Man Heard
Terlingua is and has been swarming with a network of undercover agents who are constantly snooping around trying to get the latest and greatest of the current events that go on out here in our beloved desert and I always marvel at how they, the agents, believe their cover works.

I can smell a pig from miles away no matter how well they play the part or how new they are to the investigation.

Seriously, your cover is blown and it has been for some time now. YET because I am a compassionate person who understands that some people just HAVE to make a living as they got lives to support and bills to pay back "home", I'll hold out on publishing your names and explaining your part in the current investigation. SEE? I'm nice. YOU are not.
I know ALL of you, your informants as well as the victims of your deception. I mean, how can you continue to pry into the lives of others, acknowledge their truths, know their strengths and weaknesses, and all the while pretend to be a genuine and sincere person?

Alexander Graham Bell: The Man AND the Association
People have long since argued that the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the man himself are two separate entities and I intend to help you understand why they are one and the same. You see, Bell believed that all Deaf children be should be restored to society through a learning regimen that placed the ability to speak and hear ABOVE/OVER the ability to independently inquire and effectively acquire information as a person of the hands and eyes. With this said, it is clearly seen how the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing was founded with the intention of educating the Deaf and hard of hearing solely through speech and hearing and selfishly disregarding strong evidence of what is effective in developing a fundamental sense of knowledge in Deaf pupils.
If the association were separate from the man for which it is named, it would have long since ceased compliance to the man's beliefs and ideals.
Has it? NO.
If the association were separate from the man for which it is named, it would provide continued support to those who do not procure intelligible speech or the use of hearing technology.
Does it? NO.
If the association were separate from the man for which is is named, it would view American Sign Language as a bona-fide language and essential to the education of Deaf children.
It DOES NOT.
All of the above is true of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and bear merit as prime examples of promoting an attitude towards Deaf people that is condescending, discriminating, and one that pushes for the denial of a right to language for those dependent on their hands and eyes to absorb information and communicate with the world at large.
Alexander Graham Bell, the man, strongly believed that Deaf people who cannot "speak" for themselves have no place in discussions pertaining to the education of the Deaf and equally believed that it was essential for parents and teachers to manipulate children into believing they are something they aren't, a person of the ear and voice. He has created the unfortunately long standing tradition of ignoring the needs of children of the hands and eyes and instilled in our history the selfish denial that American Sign Language IS a true and effective language in educating the Deaf. This tradition is evidenced today in the form of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, which continues to limit the learning opportunities of Deaf children and their families by obscuring facts with futile ideals. That alone, is the core reason why Deaf education has been ridiculously riddled with "failures" and WHY we STILL hold the association responsible.
